Topaz Filter Photoshop Cc 2017

broken image

The Topaz Labs web site says you can do the adjustments in Lightroom if you load Fusion Express. I still like working in Photoshop, but Lightroom should work fine. To do this project, I needed to own Topaz Clarity, Topaz Adjust, and Topaz Detail. Original Image coming from Lightroom. The composition is okay, but with flat light, I tend to. I don't necessarily think that I am the dullest tool in the shed but I am not having any luck with getting the Topaz Labs Filters installed for Adobe Photoshop CC. I still have the original downloaded files - I have the filters currently installed on my computer and working with CS5.

Yesterday I made the jump from the Demo version of Photoshop Creative Cloud to actually purchasing the license. That's right, no more purchasing the product; moving forward, you can only lease a version of Photoshop unless you wish to purchase CS6. Professional photographers have had a field day blogging about this model, mostly negative as you can imagine. Personally, I also happen to think it sucks, but I make a living with my camera and Photoshop, so I made the decision to jump in.

What I'd like to pass along with this blog is three things: a.) how to find the best price; b.) how to move your current actions and preferences, and c.) how to move your Nik and Topaz filters.

Finding The Best Price for Photoshop Creative Cloud – Adobe Doesn't Make it Easy

If you are interested in test driving Photoshop CC free for 30 days, then you need to start at this link: Purchase Photoshop Creative Cloud for $9.99 Per Month for One Year. You will land on this page:

So where is the $9.99 deal I keep reading about? Well, you'll have to dig a little. Also, you'll qualify if you have owned a version of Photoshop CS3 or later. If you own an earlier version, then you'll have to pay the $19.99 per month. On this page, click on the Single app – $19.99 per month button.

Choose Photoshop (notice the price still reflects $19.99 per month).

Topaz Filter Photoshop Cc 2017 Crack

Click on the drop down window and choose: Requires CS3+ purchase.

Now let's see if you qualify. Enter your Adobe ID.

Filemaker server 18 0 2. If you qualify, you will see this Congratulations message (remember, we are five steps into the process and I still don't know what I qualified for – gotta love Adobe)!

Oh – there it is – $9.99 per month (plus applicable tax) with a one-year contract. Notice after that there is no mention as to how high they can raise the price. Are you getting the picture now as to why so many pro/amateur photographers are upset?

Lastly, accept the terms and conditions, enter your credit card information, and you'll be sent to the download page. I had already downloaded the Demo so it checked for updates and said I was up to date.

Moving/Loading Actions and Preferences Into Photoshop CC

This one is simple. As you are setting up your new Photoshop CC, you will be asked if you would like to transfer all of your preferences and settings – ANSWER YES!

Moving/Loading Nik Filters Into Photoshop CC

First, you need to find your Plugins folder in either Photoshop CS5 or CS6. My last version of Photoshop was CS6, so I will demonstrate using that Plugins Folder. I also am using an iMac, so I will demonstrate using screen shots. These steps will work for you PC users also. https://movingdownload.medium.com/telegram-setup-for-windows-151d2ba46fd4.

To move your Nik Collection, go to Nik Filter Downloads page: http://www.niksoftware.com/nikcollection/usa/intro.html

If you already owned the Nik Collection, you should have received a link from Nik/Google to download the Collection under the Google Banner. Go ahead and do this if you haven't done so already. You won't see physical changes to the filters, but from what I understand, the 'under the hood' will be different and is setup for future upgrades/products.

Once downloaded, you will get this box:

Go ahead and Save to Desktop if that works for you. Next, double-click on saved file to get this screen shot:

Click on Nik Collection Icon:

Here is where you will get the box showing the Applications where the Nik Filters can be installed. But wait, where the heck is Photoshop Creative Cloud? Well, we have to add it. Click on the + button (bottom left under LR icon).

Go to Applications > Adobe Photoshop CC Folder > Adobe Photoshop CC

It will load as Adobe Photoshop Custom 1. Hover your mouse over highlighted blue strip once you get there and you'll see it listed as Photoshop Creative Cloud.

Click Install and you will be guided the rest of the way through the installation process – simple! Once finished, go ahead and open Photoshop Creative Cloud and you'll see your Nik Palette with all your filters. NOTE: If you don't see your filters, go to: Applications > Photoshop CC. If the folder named Google is residing in the main window, drag it into the Plugins Folder and reopen Photoshop CC.

Moving/Loading Topaz Filters Into Photoshop CC

Topaz makes this really easy. First, go to: Applications > Adobe Photoshop CS6 > Plugins

Highlight your Topaz filters and copy. Next, go to: Applications > Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud > Plugins. With the Plugins folder opened, go ahead and Paste the Topaz filters. That's it!

Lastly, go ahead and open an image into Photoshop Creative Cloud. Your Nik filters should be open in a Palette (unless you have disabled this in Preferences), and your Topaz filters will be listed under Filters > Topaz Labs.

NOTE:If you are using the Tony Kuyper Luminosity Masks, use the latest Creative Cloud Extension Manager (you'll probably have to upgrade but it's a free download) and click on the Install Icon that comes with your Actions when you purchase the masks from Tony. It will add them to your Actions palette. Open an image to test.
